Bart Ehrman, a “rock-star” professor of New Testament at UNC-Chapel Hill, argues that the New Testament is a series of forgeries written by authors intending to deceive in order to gather more power and influence for the growing Christian movement. This is an old argument in new form, and the church should probably thank Ehrman for being the first modern biblical scholar to have the honesty to admit his bias so openly. A snake hidden in the grass he is not.
